The in-water design actually works — I floated it in the pool and the seat stayed stable instead of tipping. The optional webbing keeps you from sliding when you're wet, which I didn't expect to matter as much as it does. Afternoon naps in the shallow end are now a regular thing.
Wasn't sure how an Adirondack would handle sitting right in the water, but the optional webbing keeps it from floating off and the seat stays comfortable even when it's soaked. Spent four hours in it last weekend without my back complaining once.
Bought two of these for the sandbar and the optional webbing keeps them from floating off when the tide comes in. Sat in one for three hours last weekend and my back never once complained.
